A.I. AND THE DIGITAL PRODUCT PASSPORT

A.I. and the Digital Product Passport: Two major topics were explored during the conference organized by The International Propeller Club – Port of Milan on May 19 at the ANMI headquarters in Milan, overlooking the Darsena.

DIGITAL PRODUCT PASSPORT

The DPP came into force on July 18, 2024, under Regulation (EU) 2024/1781. It represents a major step forward in product transparency.

The DPP is a digital system that consolidates comprehensive information on a product’s life cycle, from production to recycling, to ensure transparency and sustainability. To comply, companies must:

  • map their processes,
  • collect reliable data on materials and supply chains,
  • integrate digital systems for information management,
  • update labels and documentation according to ESPR standards,
  • ensure full regulatory compliance throughout the supply chain.

However, there is still much work to be done before the entire supply chain adapts to this regulatory shift, which goes hand in hand with technological progress, particularly blockchain technology.

This topic was presented by Daniele Rozzoni from KNOBS.

GENERATIVE A.I.

How can generative A.I. help ensure effective compliance?
This subject was addressed by Stefano Zanchetta from Cube Finance.

The event was moderated by Attorney Alessio Franconi of Euroleges Law Firm.

This conference is part of a series of events organized by The International Propeller Club – Port of Milan focused on legal issues in the IT sector.
